Immigration, problem or phenomenon?
Immigration has always existed, and history unquestionably shows that it is positive.
People have the habit of expressing our opinion about everything, with or without knowledge, hence, we have to talk and leave proof that we have a wide knowledge about anything: weather and its meteorological phenomena, diseases and their cures, football and its strategies... and, in such a way, we build up an ideology on what happens around us. Along with this deep-rooted habit, it also comes that one of not previously having any basis on the matter which is the object of our analysis, and about talking based on whatever we heafr in radio, television, or about that has been told to us by our brother-in-law over the family Sunday dinner, and furthermore, sometimes we talk about quoting even more trustworthy sources. This is clearly and specially noticed when talking about immigration. We depart from the starting point in whicn someone, in a given moment decided to describe the phenomenon as a problem, and in such a way, nobody decided against its logic, thus the phenomenon became a problem, and of course, after so many repetitions, it has been permanently recorded in our ears, and there is nobody left to separate the name out of the matter.
Shortly before the out-standing matter was the economiccal crisis, any sociological survey which boasted about seriousness and substance, asked the Spanish about their most worrying problems, and without leaving a chance to imagination, and, in order to provide a more simplistic answer than the question itself, they were enclosing a series of possible answers: terrorism, immigration, the price of the mortgages... Thus, it was easier that immigration appeared in one of the top places as the first national concern. Since I do not know if in this kind of questionnaires there is a place left to others, or they turn out to be in such a way, generic, without a chance left to transform them into "traffic accidents", " low wages", "awful working hours"...
